Please pray for my niece Andrea Werth. Starting in mid November, Andrea started to experience pain on the left side of her face which started in her tongue. What started off as now and then pain quickly changed to constant intense pain with episodes every 3-5 minutes. She has had many trips to the ER with hopes of trying to find something for pain relief. None off this has worked. She has been working with a neurologist at Essentia who diagnosed her with trigeminal neuralgia. Her doctor in Fargo referred her to Mayo Clinic.
Today she met with 3 neurologists and a neurosurgeon at Mayo. She will be having Microvascular decompression (MVD) surgery on Thursday. She will be in the ICU for a day and the out to the main floor. Her husband Ben will be staying in Rochester until she is able to come home. Andrea will be out of work for at least 4-6 weeks after surgery. Ben has been unable to work during this time as well as he has been at Andrea’s side since she cannot even stand alone at times due to the strong meds they have given her. She is already out of sick time. Andrea works as a para in the Moorhead School District and also works at Gateway Gardens every other weekend. She has not been able to work at either job since early December.  Andrea and Ben have three teenage children.  If you can, any donation will surely help this family with expenses.
