12.24.24 My mom was taken to heaven

3 months ago, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. We were all surprised; we did not expect this type of diagnosis for her. This cancer was silent and aggressive. She was never a smoker, and the origin of where the cancer started was unknown. Due to cancer, fluid buildup was outside of her lungs that soon entered into her lungs, so she was considered a lung cancer patient. It was the hardest 3 months of her life, of our lives. She suffered so much, with constant hospitalization, unable to do chemo. This cancer was so aggressive it was hard to prolong my mom’s life.

She loved life, she loved her family, her job, and she wanted to keep fighting to keep living her beautiful life with her 2 daughters and husband. We are still in shock of everything; our hearts hurt. We don’t wish this upon anyone. Losing a loved one, especially when it’s your parent, sibling, child, or spouse, is the most unbearable pain ever.

One thing I do have to say, and I truly believe, is that God and her parents, who are in heaven, were by her side through this whole journey, and she is now in heaven united with them, happy, pain, and cancer-free. We love you so much, OUR LITTLE SUNSHINE. Thank you for giving us a life full of love, guidance, care, and amazing memories.

With this unexpected loss in our family, this is a hardship for our family. Anything helps, and for those who have already giving us donations we truly appreciate the help. From the bottom of our hearts we appreciate the love and support from you all.
