To all my mom’s friends and family, When I was a child, I was diagnosed with a severe pancreatic problem.  My mother at the time was pursuing her nursing degree.  She was on the verge of achieving that goal.  When I was diagnosed my mother without hesitation made sure that I was taken care of and she had to give up on her dream.  I am and always will be thankful for that and for her. The Alvarez family, and especially my mom, are not the type to ask for help.  In fact, quite to the contrary, she’s always the one to help others.  If you know her, you know this is true.  But my mom recently had an accident and destroyed her foot so badly that she almost lost it.  She was able to find a wonderful team of doctors and nurses who were able to save her foot and repair it so she will make a great recovery and live a normal life.  Unfortunately the medical bills are mounting by the day, and on top of that she has been out of work for months now and will be for many more. All I want to do, as anyone would, is help her and help relieve some of the stress she is feeling.  If you know my mom, know me, care about my mom, or have been a recipient of my moms giving nature…I ask that you help her in any way you can in her time of need.
