My friend Andrea Taglieri-Cobb finally got to live her dream life after retiring and moving from New York to Arizona with her partner Dave. Shortly after moving they got married and she truly was living her best life she deserved. She was an avid outdoors woman, Hiking, Exploring nature, Riding her buggy all over the Arizona desert, trying out all sorts of cool restaurants and different foods!

Anyone that knows Andrea know she would give the shirt off her back for you and went ABOVE and beyond to help people especially those in need. She often volunteered at soup kitchens and for Maureens haven a local shelter in New York for about 15 years, Even when struggling herself she found a way to help those in need. During her working years she was a CASAC for over 20 years helping again those in need. Her calling in life was helping people and now she needs help.

In 2022 she was diagnosed with Long Covid but kept her optimism as she always did that things would get better as she exercised regularly in water aerobics, hiked and kept a positive mind. As she continued her regular activities she felt weak, drained with mental and physical exhaustion, but kept going as she always does. As time went on she kept getting progressively worse more weak, more exhausted and was spending more time in bed then anything. After extensive testing and numerous doctors visit she is now diagnosed with severe ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis).

Andrea is Now Bed ridden entirely as ANY sort of physical movement is debilitating to her sounds bother her as well. Arizona does not have very good medical care, as she cannot find someone to come in and help her and doctors are not doing enough to help get her on her feet.

David Cobb her husband has dedicated himself to helping Andrea do everything even down to eating as she is that weak she cannot feed herself. She is on a strict diet of healthy foods and trying to rest but her body is not making the energy cells needed to allow her to recover at this time. Andrea cannot walk on her own unfortunately this is absolutely crushing to her and those who know her as she was such an active woman.

I have been looking into all different methods of transportation to get her back to New York but they are all so costly because she cannot be sitting in the upright position she must be lying down.

Our goal with this fundraiser is to raise enough funds to get Andrea and David moved back to New York so she can get proper medical care and be with family and friends that can help, Her two children and three tiny grandchildren are in New York which she cannot communicate with due to the disease affecting her ability to speak on the phone or use any screens.

Any help is truly appreciated as she would like to get back by the end of this year if not early next year to be able to have access to better healthcare and hopefully make a full recovery but the full recovery rate for this disease is a mere 5%.
