ANDRE RABOUIN_Stem Cell Therapy Campaign-continues

As a life long athlete - pro-baseball player and coach -  keeping your health in tiptop shape is extremely essential.

In 2006 Andre Rabouin had a TIA (minor stroke) while coaching the Nashua Pride baseball team (Nashua, New Hampshire). Up until then, his health was great.

But, a turn for the worse occurred in 2009.  While coaching at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC,. The head coach, Curtis Pride, noticed -over a short period of time,  that his legs had swollen,  he was short of breath and had gained fifty pounds. Curtis demanded that Andre go to the emergency room immediately (even though Andre  protested).  Curtis ended up taking Andre to Washington Center Hospital in DC.. The Doctors informed Andre that if Curtis had not brought him in when he did, he could have died.

After three weeks in the hospital with a new lease on life by means of a defibrillator/pacemaker, he slowly returned to a normal life.

Move forward to 2019.... Andre's health has been deteriorating. After numerous tweaks and upgrades of several  defibrillators, his latest pacemaker is only working at 25% making it harder for him to breath and difficult for him to move around like he used to.  He is now in need of newer, more advanced medical care and treatment.

The Professional Baseball Players Association has recommended that he undergo Stem Cell Therapy to rejuvenate and heal the heart muscle. The association will pay for the treatments and  the hospital stay,  however,  Andre needs help to pay for the round trip air fare, first three months of medications and possible hotel stay in Chicago.

His Stem Cell Therapy appointment is set for Monday April  15,  2019.  He will leave Texas on Sunday April 14, 2019 to check into the hospital.  I do not know how long he will have to stay in the hospital -  so we (his family) are trying to get the  funding for this campaign as soon as possible.  Friday April 12, 2019 is the deadline to purchase the round trip ticket.  This campaign will end when Andre returns to Lewisville, TX , where he resides.

After much research regarding stem cell therapy, the before, the during and the aftercare, the goal has been raised to $5000.00.  Here is one of the numerous articles that helped me come to this goal update:
