Andre Garcia was know for being a simple, hardworking, yet stubborn man who loved to travel across the country with his motorcycle group. 

On the evening of April 6th, I received news that my dad had been in a motorcycle accident on his way home from work. 

Police reports claim that he lost control of his vehicle, only a block away from home, causing him to fall and hit his head. 

Unfortunately, dad was not wearing a helmet and suffered extensive brain injuries.  

Since the accident, 12 days ago, he has been fighting for his life. 

Although his friends and family remain hopeful that he will make a recovery, doctors have warned that if he does make a recovery, it may not be what they hope for, and chances are he will never be the same man we all knew and cherished.

He is currently in hospice, and as of this morning (4/18) doctors have told me that I need to prepare myself for the worse as his condition has worsened overnight. 

I come here today as his only daughter, to ask to keep him in your prayers and please , PLEASE make sure to ALWAYS wear your helmet/seatbelt, and not to operate a motor vehicle if you are putting yourself and/or others at risk. 

My dad is only 56 years young, and I can’t begin to explain how heartbreaking it has been to see him this way and not be able to do more for him. 

And it is with a heavy heart that we ask for your help to raise funds to assist my family and me to give him the service and memorial that he deserves.

André Garcia era conhecido por ser um homem simples, trabalhador, mas teimoso, que adorava viajar pelo país com seu grupo de motociclistas.

Na noite de 6 de abril, recebi a notícia de que meu pai havia sofrido um acidente de motocicleta ao voltar do trabalho para casa.
Relatórios policiais afirmam que ele perdeu o controle de seu veículo, a apenas um quarteirão de casa, o que o fez cair e bater com a cabeça.
Infelizmente, meu pai não estava usando capacete e sofreu graves lesões cerebrais.

Desde o acidente, há 12 dias, ele luta pela vida.

Embora seus amigos e familiares continuem esperançosos de que ele se recuperará, os médicos alertaram que, se ele se recuperar, pode não ser o que eles esperam, e é provável que ele nunca seja o mesmo homem que todos conhecíamos e estimamos.

No momento, ele está internado e, nesta manhã (18/4), os médicos me disseram que preciso me preparar para o pior, pois sua condição piorou durante a noite.


Eu venho aqui hoje como sua única filha, para pedir para mantê-lo em suas orações e por favor, POR FAVOR, certifique-se de usar SEMPRE seu capacete / cinto de segurança, e não operar um veículo motorizado se você estiver se colocando e / ou outras pessoas em risco.
Meu pai tem apenas 56 anos e não consigo explicar como foi doloroso vê-lo assim e não ser capaz de fazer mais por ele.

E é com o coração pesado que pedimos sua ajuda para arrecadar fundos para ajudar minha família e eu a prestar a ele o serviço e a homenagem que ele merece.
