Andre Competing at World and Pan Am Championships

As coaches at El Idrissi Academy we are beyond proud of our student Andre who decided to make a comeback to his competition career last year. As a 2008 Paralympian, his hard work on and off the mat has landed him a National championship title in 2022 and a spot on the 2022 World and Pan American Championships VI teams! To come back after 14 years at the elite level is unreal!

These are the first events that can provide qualifying points for him towards the 2024 Olympics.

To say Andre is a leader and role model to the team is an understatement. We are hoping to provide some financial support so that these events can be truly waves of enjoyment (and not a strain) for Andre.

We are also proud of Liana who qualified as well but luckily has sponsors available to support her journey. We look forward to having a nonprofit for future support of our athletes but given the quick turnaround for these events (in Nov and Dec) we turned to GoFundMe to provide Andre with a little help
