Andre (aka: Andy) and Armani Ramos Trauma Recovery

On Monday 09/09/2019, at approximately 6:40am I received a call no parent would ever want to receive. My oldest Andy with desperate panic screams he says “MOM WE GOT IN AN ACCIDENT!!! WE JUST GIT HIT!” Trying to calm him down asking him of his location and if he’s ok. He replied no I don’t know I can’t get out. Dad and I rushed to the scene. As we continued talking and not hearing Armani’s voice when I started asking for him we suddenly hear a soft outburst from him (Armani) “I’m ok”. In rout to the boys Andy wanted to sleep and I continued to talk to him and ask him about his surrounding to keep him alert. Suddenly a sound of sirens are head and as we approached to the scene flashing lights start lining up to block traffic.
Both boys treated at the crash site and were patiently waiting to be taken out of the car and to get transported to TGH Trauma Unit. Andy was the last one to be transported due to his R leg getting trapped.
Andy, has a broken tibia, fibula on his Right leg and multiple contusion. His leg required surgery and it was successful. Armani, has a broken Left wrist, fractured Left ribs 6,7 and 10 has 2 fractures, small lacerations on his spleen and bladder with multiple contusions. Thankfully no operation required. Thank God for the hedge of protection over them because it could have been worse.
Both boys are finally home and in a positive road to recovery. In this process the least they need is to stress on how they are going to pay for bills and expenses they never expected or are at fault for.
Unfortunately this is not a speedy recovery process and they are not going to be able to do their normal task or profession work routine normally again.
I’m always going the extra mile to help and support everyone I can. However, It’s difficult for me to ask for help for myself. It’s different when it hits close to home. But, my boys need all the help they can get now. So, I’m see the need to reach out to our family and friends for support. Any contribution at this time will help out.
