Andile Ace Magagula 25 years, Gone Too Soon

Hi, my name is Patience Thembie Magagula. I am a cousin of the late Andile Magagula

Andile came to Canada as an international student 7 years ago. His father Isaiah Magagula died
in January 2017. Andile wanted to partner with his father in the family business. Unfortunately,
the business buckled after Andile’s father’s death. Family unity is another legacy Andile cherished
and learned from his father. Regrettably, Isaiah Magagula’s death greatly

impacted Andile’s life. Andile also experienced trauma, anxiety, and depression.

It took Andile time to recover and find his footing. He later found his joy in

the Moose Jaw community that welcomed him.

He talked highly about the remarkable support from his Moose Jaw

First Free Methodist Church. This community welcomed Andile and took

him in as their own. He felt blessed to be part of this spiritual home.

 

Andile also talked about receiving unique support from Moose Jaw

Newcomer Welcome Center Services. These two organizations became

part of Andile’s journey while he worked on his plans to settle and live in

Canada as a Moose Jaw SaskPoly grad.

In this community as aforementioned, Andile felt loved, and he was

planning to settle in Moose Jaw at the time of his untimely death.

 

Andile lived a humble life. He humbled himself till the last day. He lived a

selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death. He touched
many lives. He was a down-to-earth young Christian man. Unfortunately,

Andile did not realize his dream. A lighthearted wellness check request

made to the sympathetic Moose Jaw police on June 6, 2022, led to an

unexpected compassionate heavy call from Moose Jaw Coroner.

 

We are kindly asking for your support to raise funds to support Andile’s

funeral. The Moose Jaw First Free Methodist Church will honour Andile

with thanksgiving and a celebration of life.
