Andi and Sally are fighting for their lives.

Hey y’all. Everyone should know how much I love my pups and I would do anything in the world for them. Unfortunately, as much as I hate to ask for help, I need help…
On Wednesday around 2:50 Sally starting having seizures at the farm.. While I was rushing her to the vet, White Rose in York, Bristol called to tell me Andi was seizing also. I get them to White Rose and they immediately administer diazepam to help. They pulled blood there too. Dr. Sylvia told us the pups had been poisoned but couldn’t pinpoint with what.
She transferred them to ICU at Carolina Veterinary Specialist for 24 hour watch/care.

We arrived around 5 in Charlotte. Dr. Miller immediately started IV fluids and muscle relaxers to helps with the tremors. She came out to talk to us and explained how expensive this was going to be, with it being doubled everything since both Sally and Andi were in critical condition.

We arrived back at the farm, searched high and low but couldn’t find anything they could have gotten into.

Update at 5:30 am Thursday;
Dear Mrs. Norris,
Sally and Andi are still periodically having tremors. I ended up putting them both on a continuous drip of the
injectable muscle relaxer and that is helping, although even on the continuous drip - they still have tremors occasionally. They are both eating, which is good. Both of their blood pressures have been on the low normal side, although not low enough to have to treat them. They are both getting their IV fluids still. They each had one seizure last night and were given injections to quickly get them out of the seizures. So, for now I would say they have not improved, although have not gotten worse. I will call you tonight after 5 pm to update you then. Thank you! Dr. Amy Miller

9:00 am Thursday the girls and I went to visit them. Sally wasn’t awake and Andi was still shaking horrible. They had mentioned whatever this was had to be ingested by most likely the nose because they had no GI upset/symptoms and it was targeting just the nervous system. They were leaning towards strychnine but we don’t use rat killer and we don’t have it in the powder form. So now we are more leaning towards someone had purposely put it out and the pups grazed across it with the noses while out of the kennel to go potty when we first arrived to the barn.

We filed a police report but they couldn’t find anything on site. We reported this with animal control as well. If someone purposely poisoned my dogs, I will do everything in my power to find out and prosecute.

5:30 PM Thursday; Nick stopped on his way back from Charlotte to see them. Dr. Miller had him call animal poison hotline (another money racket) they suggest for Dr. Miller to take them off the muscle relaxers and put them on valium…

Update at 6 am Friday from Dr. Miller
Dear Mrs. Norris,
Unfortunately Sally and Andi are continuing to tremor periodically. They are still eating though, which is
promising. We are continuing to consult with Pet Poison Helpline about their case (I just spoke with them again at 5:30 am) and we are going to try Intralipids, which is an IV infusion. Intralipids help bind to toxins that are "lipophylic", meaning that they bind to fats, and help them move through their system quicker. We waited to give this because once you give the intralipids, it limits the medications that you can use. But we are giving it now, per Pet Poison Helpline's advice. Hopefully the intralipids will work! I will call you tonight after 5 pm. Have a good day! Thank you, Dr. Amy Miller

9 am Friday; The girls and I are headed to Charlotte to see them and I will update again. I have put off asking for help but the moment we dropped them off in Charlotte the vet bill was $2500. Leaving them last night added another $2000. I’m already $5000 in the hole with two vets in two days but I needed these two dogs in the best of hands so I could focus on who and why someone would do such a horrible thing… If anyone knows a way to get back at me or to hurt me.. They know my dogs would be the way to go.

If you hear of anything about Sally and Andi please contact me or the York County Sheriffs office.

Thank you guys for your help.
Chelsea Norris and the girls.
