Anderson family emergency

11/19/23 Update:

I just want to thank my immediate family - Lexy Bergman, Sharon Kelly, Jacqueline Anderson, Cameron Anderson, Kimberyn Anderson, Scott Evavold for their immediate response and rise to action during our time of crisis. To everyone else posts that I have read the past 2 weeks, I thank you deeply. Your prayers, donations, meals and overall support have left me speechless. Up till now, there has been a lot of guesses and unknown questions. Tami and I wanted to share what we now know.

After several days of waiting on biopsy results from my surgeries and the news was delivered. I have “metastatic squamous cell carcinoma” throughout my neck, back and lungs. Although this isn’t the news that we wanted to hear it doesn’t change the path I have choosen. I will fight this as long as I can with dignity and support from family and friends.

Tomorrow I will go into surgery for 2 stents in my upper and lower left lung in an attempt to re-inflate my lung, gene mapping of the tumors and get my 1st treatment of radiation therapy. The treatment isn’t for the faint of heart but it is what I will do to get me closer to discharge and to be surrounded by my family as I continue this fight from home.

We wouldn’t have made it this far without your support through donations. Moving forward, Tami and I will be doing weekly updates on my journey. We ask for your continued love, support and prayers.

sit here trying to form words from my thoughts. Finding that difficult the last few days. After 2 long days of surgery and multiple biopsies. The results today have come back inconclusive. He will now undergo a full day of surgery on Monday. They will take the biopsies from the tumors in his left lung. Josh’s breathing tube has been removed and he is now talking. There is a long battle ahead of us. We are ready to fight. We ask that you please donate so Tami is able to continue taking care of not only Josh, but the kids and herself. Tami is doing everything she can to keep things as normal as possible at home. We will continue to update everyone as soon as we have additional information.
