It felt like 40 days and 40 nights.

It wasn’t .... but countless Californians, including dear friends Cheryl Barton-Petrie & Vince Petrie, might debate that fact. Their lives were forever changed by the unprecedented rivers of rain.

Cheryl, our multi-talented artist, lost a big chunk of her cherished artwork, when the torrential rains inundated their property, their home & Cheryl’s beloved studio.

Water & mud invaded every crevice and Cheryl & Vince are currently slopping around in a mud-ravaged home to prepare it for the necessary & costly renovation work.

As so often happens, the damage is not covered by insurance, so our friends are waiting for word on assistance from FEMA.

Imagining what it would be like to be in their shoes, a small group of friends has put together this Go-Fund-Me for Cheryl & Vince. We’re starting the request at $5500 but hope to see the donations roll well past that goal as it’s a drop in the bucket (so to speak) compared to what will be needed.
