Ancient Theater Research

Hi, my name is Joanna Fabian I'm a 7th-grade student at Hellenic Classical Charter School. Since I was a little girl I had a passion for acting and this year I will have the opportunity to be a part of the Ancient Greek Theater production at my school. My passion to learn different cultures and languages made me extremely happy and excited when I was selected as the Protagonist of "Antigone" one of the greatest Ancient Greek Tragedies ever written.

This year with your additional support, the Ancient Greek Theater Group, along with the National History Day Fair group, will have the amazing opportunity to research historical drama, and culture live in Greece.

Students will be studying the ancient greek tragedy "Elektra" by Sophocles and to learn more about it, my school will be hosting a research trip. This is an amazing experience for students to explore with a closer look at the culture and history of the tragic drama of Elektra by Sophocles itself.

Our school along with myself have started fundraising for this excursion.

The cost of the trip is approximately $60,000 or $5000 per child.

I am kindly asking for your support for this high-quality educational research trip that will help me influence the future through the discovery of the past.
