Ancient East 1100km 4 day ultra cycle
Donation protected
We are the ultra cyclists, a group of like minded adventure cyclists who take on a charity cycling challenge every year. Since 2016, we have completed 8,700 km over 6 different cycles, across 5 countries in just 25 days while raising an incredible €227,000 for various local and national charities. Last year, we had a very successful campaign raising €55,000 on our Wild Atlantic Way, round Ireland cycling challenge.
On Wed 24th Aug, 2022, we are embarking a huge challenge of cycling 1,100km along the iconic and scenic Ancient East, starting in Derry city and finishing 4 days later in old Head in Kinsale. That is a staggering 275km per day.
This event is self financed so 100% of all money raised will go directly to the chosen causes. We are using the opportunity to raise some funds for 3 worthy causes -
1. Mayo Roscommon Hospice (provides palliative care services to people with life time illness)
2. Turn2me (online mental health support for people in need)
3. Hooves for Hospice (midlands charity looking at raising €1M to build a hospice facility)
On Day 3, we will be joined by industry colleagues (farmers, vets, co-ops, animal health companies, advisors etc.) who will join in and cycle a 65km leg or two and maybe the whole 275km stage. This starts in Sandymount strand Dublin 4 and finishes in Duncannon Beach, Waterford.
Please help us by sharing this page with your family, work colleagues and friends. The more people that know about this challenge, the more fundraising we can do. Thank you in advance for your kind generosity, it means a lot !!
