My passion is for racing, this passion was ignited by a difficult period in my life. I lost my mother to cancer in 2014. My father and I found racing, and the racing community, as therapy in dealing with that loss. Additionally, I used my loss as motivation to start a charitable foundation, called Karting for Cancer (now called The Anchor Foundation). Over the past four years I have raised and donated almost $10,000, and given to various children’s hospitals, and Make a Wish donations. It was important for me to give back to kids like myself who were dealing with illness and loss just as I did with my mom.
I am currently seeking sponsors to help me continue in my racing career, but also to improve the lives of others via my charity The Anchor Foundation (formerly Karting for Cancer). Therefore 10% of all monies donated to Jack Dorsey Racing will go to the Anchor Foundation Fund and children’s charities.
This years donation will be a Gaming/Racing Simulator for Riley Hospital for Children. The system, built by me with the help of Exacto machine and several sponsors, is built to look like a racing kart and is for kids dealing with illness, to help with their recovery. Helping me to make the donation (scheduled for later this year) will be several current and up and coming INDYcar drivers (Spencer Pigot, Charlie Kimball, Kyle Kaiser, and Pippa Mann.)
Racing is an expensive sport, and I need your support to continue to compete at an increasingly higher level. Just as important, I want to combine my love of racing with a need to continue to give back in tribute to my mom.
Please help me to pursue my dream to win on the track, but also to give back to kids suffering with illness and loss, as I did.
