We are raising funds to help cover the funeral and related arrangements for Anbukkaran Mailvahanam, who tragically passed away suddenly.

Anbukkaran was a long-standing member of the refugee community in Melbourne and had lived here for more than 13 years, separated from his wife and children in Sri Lanka. Only a week before his passing, he received the opportunity to apply for permanent residency, and his family was eagerly looking forward to finally being reunited with him. Instead, they are now grieving the unimaginable loss of a husband and father.

The funds raised will go directly towards funeral expenses and related arrangements, and to support efforts to allow his family to attend and farewell him with dignity.
