Hey guys, as most of you know Anayari was admitted to the hospital back in July when she was 6 months old. As parents from the day she was born we knew something was not right but were told by the emergency room and her pediatrician over and over that nothing was wrong. It wasn’t until we changed her pediatrician that our suspicions were confirmed. At her first visit with her new pediatrician The doctor was immediately concerned with her low weight, her labored breathing, her delay with milestones and the fact that she choked every time she drank a bottle. She was so concerned that she sent us straight to Nemours Children’s Hospital for Anayari to be admitted. During her eight day hospital stay, she was diagnosed with dysphasia due to aspiration, failure to thrive, mild malnutrition and was put on a feeding machine where she now eats through an NG tube. We are still no where close to the finish line and she is going to be going into surgery in two weeks so they can surgically place a more permanent feeding tube into her stomach. Between all the procedures and surgery as well as all of the home medical equipment and supplies and countless visits with all her specialists weekly we have accumulated an enormous amount of medical bills. We usually under any circumstance, would not ask for help but in this situation, we feel like we have no choice because if we cannot pay the required amounts that are due, they won’t do her surgeries, procedures, or continue to deliver her medical supplies. It is with great humbleness that we ask for any type of help and we want to let you know that no one is obligated, but anything is much appreciated.
