ANAYA JOHNSON DEBUTANTE CAMPAIGN
Donation protected

To all my Family, Friends, and Supporters:
It means so much to me to be a part of the 2015 Essence de Noire Cotillion of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. – Southfield Alumnae Chapter. The cotillion process serves as a rite of passage for young women stepping into the world with the training and social tools needed to be successful in society. As a debutante, my knowledge of scholarship, etiquette, and opportunity, amongst other valuable lessons; beyond high school are being enhanced.
To participate in a cotillion has always been my dream. It’s an opportunity to grow and network. I strongly believe that to succeed, you must utilize your resources wisely. Women of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. have inspired me and helped mold me into the young woman I am today, from the moment I was born.
With the workshops I have attended, the program is proving to be quite beneficial as it reiterates my upbringing. I’ve gained financial tips, learned various ways of preparing for college, and effective tactics of communicating and listening. I have had the opportunity to receive insight from women in a variety of career fields. There is still more to my journey, and I’m looking forward to each part of it. We will have a cultural experience and witness the wonderful works of the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre. The process also includes a collective community service project and a Social Awareness Tea in preparation for the Cotillion.
The 2015 Essence de Noire Cotillion Ball will be held Saturday, May 23, at the Westin Southfield Detroit Hotel. Seventy percent of the funds that I personally raise will be awarded to me as a scholarship. The remaining funds will benefit the scholarship fund of Southfield Alumnae Chapter.
I would sincerely appreciate your support of me and my efforts. If you wish to contribute, please make your donation before or by midday April 27, 2015.
Thank you so very much for your support! Please pray for me and my family as we continue on this journey. My parents, brother, and I will be forever grateful for your thoughtfulness, support, and generosity.
Muchas gracias~ Merci~ Thank you,
Anaya Johnson
