Hi everyone,

My name is Anay Saran. I’m a proud graduate of Jefferson Middle School, Class of 2024, and a Life Scout in Boy Scout Troop 966, currently working toward earning my Eagle Scout rank. For my Eagle Scout Service Project, I’m leading a beautification project for the garden at Jefferson Middle School in Torrance, California.

This project is incredibly important to me because I went to Jefferson, and it’s the place where I made some of my most memorable friends and experiences. I want to give back to the school that gave me so much by transforming the garden into a more beautiful, welcoming, and eco-friendly space for students and staff to enjoy.

My project will include:

✅ Planting native California plants that save water and support local wildlife

✅ Refreshing existing garden beds with new soil and mulch

✅ Installing new pathways for safer, easier access

✅ Adding educational signs about native plants and sustainable gardening

This project will help create an inviting environment for outdoor learning and a beautiful place for students to relax and connect with nature.
