It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved grandfather on Saturday, October 31st 2020 at 8:30pm.
Anatoliy Staroverov of Auburn, Washington passed away on Saturday, October 31st 2020 shortly after reaching the age of 81 years old. He passed quickly and unexpectedly in his home with his wife -due to heart complications.
Anatoliy was born on September 21st, 1939 in Tatarstan at the start of World War II. In 1958, he married the love of his life and lifelong partner Anna Staroverov. They lived almost inseparably for over 62 years and raised 8 children together.
As a very young man he learned to work hard to support his young and growing family. He worked as a miner up until1991, when they immigrated to the United States.
Anatoliy is known as a pillar in his community and a strong foundation for his family. During the last years of his life, he enjoyed tending to his garden and serving in his community at his local food bank and church. He became well known as the “great volunteer” - A humble and generous God fearing man who dedicated his time, finances and efforts to his family, friends and community. He has been a major presence in the lives of his children, grandchildren and those around him.
Our grandfather came from a lineage of God fearing men, who were persecuted for their faith during the reign of the Soviet Union. Generations ago, the last name Staroverov was earned as a homage to God - translated in English to “old faith”. And up until his last breath, he has been blessed with great faith.
Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven watching over us.
Anatoliy is preceded in death by his parents, and two sons. He is survived by his wife, siblings, children and many grandchildren.
We are truly thankful for any and all support to help provide for his funeral and memorial costs. Our prayers go out to all who have also lost loved ones during these troubling times. Thank you and God bless.
