Thesis Research in Oxford, England
Donation protected
My name is Anastasia and I am a junior at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. I am studying for a degree in History and a double minor in Political Science and Justice, Law, and Society. After Washington College I plan to further my studies with a degree in law and fulfill my life long dream of being a lawyer.
I was selected to go study abroad at Oriel College in Oxford, England for two weeks this summer. While I am there I will engage in ample amounts of research for my History thesis while having access to Oriel College's three libraries, as well as work one-on-one with Oriel College staff. My research will continue throughout the two weeks where I will present a final paper on my topic. Once I return to the U.S. I will have the remainder of the summer to expand on that research paper and double my final paper to then have it be assessed and graded for Washington College course credit. I have yet to narrow down my topic, however, I am looking towards an aspect of law and history.
I have never traveled outside of the United States, let alone left the east coast. This trip is not only one where I can work on my thesis, an undergrad requirement for graduation, but also to see the world beyond the east coast of the U.S. It would mean more than you know to have financial support for my trip, especially since it is for educational purposes towards a graduation requirement. Any donation, big or small, would help! Thank you so much for your support!
