My name is Ana M. Rivas, my husband and I founded this organization in the year 2000. It became a Nonprofit organization since 2006 and thousands of families have benefited from our services. We (Camino y Esperanza) have a property which we bought in 2010 with volunteer lenders who are testimony of our services, where we facilitate retreats, conferences, leaders formation, fund raising events, etc. in order to reinforce the family values, and the relationship within their children and all family members. My husband, Deacon Roberto Rivas passed away in September 11, 2016 while concluding one of our women retreats. He anointed everyone present (120 people) and exclaimed: “Glory to God” and passed away minutes after in front of an altar. My husband had a vision to build a Shrine for the Virgin of Guadalupe, and it was built with the contribution of volunteers a year after he passed away in our CyE building. Our property is located at 4529 S. 8500 E. Rd. St. Anne, IL 60964.  Our offices are located at 1640 W 38th St. in Chicago 60609, and has been closed since March 13, of this year 2020 due to the pandemic. We haven’t been able to pay our rent, pay the property lenders, our few employees, the building under construction in our property by volunteers has stopped, our insurance has been canceled, and we need to finish our project of our building and of our Shrine to continue help the families. My daughter Eileen, has been working with me since the beginning of our mission; she is my right hand and together we’ve been able to safely have a few events in front of our Holy Hill of the Virgin of Guadalupe and at least we’ve been able to pay the basic utility bills of our property.  Many people keep on visiting the Shrine of the Virgin to offer their prayers to God with her intercession, especially during this pandemic. All who knew my husband, and were counseled by him refer to him as Saint Deacon Roberto and ask for his intercession as well. My daughter and I, and the families in need, thank you in advance and are praying that God touches your heart for you to contribute to our mission with the families, more than ever needed. I’m also a cancer type four survivor that two years ago had my right kidney and the suprarrenal gland removed (cancer size of a grapefruit). I’m also a testimony of many prayers and support and I’m grateful to be able helping couples, youth and children integrating their families. God bless you!
