Analyn's Battle: Covering Hospital Expenses

On February 1st, my brother Miguel/Leo's mother in the Philippines, Analyn Rieta, suffered from a medical emergency in the form of a sudden hemorrhagic stroke along with cardiovascular disease complications. Analyn was rushed for treatment at Baypointe Hospital in Olongapo City where she underwent emergency brain surgery in order to save her life. By God's grace, the surgery was successful and the surgeons were able to treat the hemorrhage in the brain and stabilize her condition. However, currently Analyn is in a comatose state at Baypointe Hospital's ICU.

As you can image, this medical emergency has caused unbelievable emotional and financial stress on Analyn's children (Andrea, Angelica, Arvin & Leo Miguelito) who have gathered to help their mother in her time of need. For those unfamiliar with the Philippine healthcare system, payment is required prior to treatment - even in emergency cases such as this. Analyn's children have already had to burn through their savings just to put the down payment down on this costly procedure, and they currently face a mountain of medical debt ahead of them with their costs increasing daily as Analyn continues to stay admitted.

We are prayerfully hoping that the funds raised by this GoFundMe can go towards helping Analyn continue receiving the treatment she needs and to help support her children with the stress of medical bills. The goal does not reflect the full amount of the medical expenses, but only what is needed to cover the initial procedure and recovery stay. It has been difficult enough for her kids to live with the uncertainty of their mom's condition, and we want to make it so that they have one less thing to worry about in their finances. 100% of proceeds will be used towards helping pay off the total hospital charges incurred by the family.

We believe in a powerful, loving and faithful God who loves Analyn and her family. We ourselves also love them dearly with the love of Christ, and know that love requires action (1 John 3:18; James 2:14-17).
