On September 23, 2021 Maui lost a beloved son. Paul Analu Deponte, AKA ‘Anas', Analu, Uncle Lu 11/27/59-09/23/21.

Analu’s infectious personality and Kolohe shenanigans will certainly be missed by many. If you were lucky enough to have been loved by him, he had a way of making you feel as if you were uniquely special. He made sure that you felt that he had stars in his eyes for you. Friends, family, and  lovers alike.

Being a waterman was his life. He was an O.G.,

a Barrel Master, a true Maui Boy!

Countless hours of his time on this earth were spent in the ocean. From Peahi & Ho’okipa, to Honolua & Maalaea he was a  respected Surfer of Hawai’i Nei.

He was dedicated to teaching anyone who wanted to learn how to surf, to surf!

He truly was “Mr. Aloha” to so many.

“Free Surf Lessons”! Was his motto for his perpetual dream of owning a surf school.

If he had your back, in the water or on the land, you knew you were safe!

Now is our chance to have his back and help his family lay him to rest. Analu is survived by his step father, his sister, many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and countless friends.

This go fund me is dedicated to help in bringing long distance family home, and to support the family with his memorial Services.

**TENATIVE** service to be held on 11/27/2021 (Analu’s 62 Birthday)

At Baldwin Beach Park. 9am. His ashes will be joined with his brother Glenn.

Any and all, left over $$ raised will be dedicated to a future surf event in his honor.

The spirit of our dear friend of this aina has departed. He has gone to the warm bosom of the lord.He will be loved. Until we meet again when the time is right. We will be together again to ride the wave of the vast heavens.
