Ana will forever live in our hearts as a mother, grandmother, sister, nurse, and friend; we are heartbroken to have lost her on August 25, after a grueling battle with cancer.
While Ana, as a hospice nurse, knew what she was facing, she nevertheless continued to meet each day with grace, hope, and love. Even when the disease took away her voice, her pencil and notepad spoke of her unwavering faith in God, and her love for her family.
In her last month, her family - husband, sons, and daughter, took shifts staying at the hospital bedside so she was never alone.
We hope to support Ana's family as they make the difficult transition to life without her. We cannot take away their pain just as we cannot bring her back. We can only hope to make their burden easier by giving what help we can.
If this calls to your heart, and you are able to, please consider helping the Delacruz family during their time of grief and healing.
