Help Ana Charle's daughters

Words cannot express the sadness and loss I feel for my colleague, Ana Charle. I have worked with the homeless population since 2006. And as someone who has worked in this field for the past 9 years, I knew it was rare to find someone as committed, persistent, and compassionate as Ana. Ana poured her heart into her work. She was someone who cared deeply for the underserved and saw potential in those who were not necessarily able to see it in themselves. I worked closely with Ana and other staff members to identify shelter tenants who seemed particularly vulnerable or in need of mental health treatment and to connect them to services. The loss of Ana is also a loss for humanity.

Ana was a single mother who was dedicated to her children. She left behind two 9- and 10-year-old daughters who are reeling from the sudden and violent death of their mother. As hard as she worked for the shelter tenants, she worked even harder for her children. Ana kept her two daughters busy in extracurricular activities, driving them to gymnastics, helping them with homework, and taking them on weekend trips. Ana was a very hands-on mother who was always running from one activity to another for her children.

The goal of this fund is to provide enough money to ensure that her children are well taken care of in the aftermath of her death. All proceeds will go directly to the Charle Family and be used towards counseling, continued extracurricular activities, and a college fund for her two daughters.
