Ana's fight to go home.
Donation protected

She was given medication to lower the blood pressure and it just got worst from there. That’s where her nightmare started. She needed a blood transfusion and her blood pressure increased. Nothing seem to work and after 5 days of trying different medications, on Saturday August 3rd our worst fear became a reality. She suffered a stroke. After the CT Scan showed a Brain Hemorrhage, she had to be rushed into surgery, a External Ventricular Drain was performed to drain the blood clot from the brain. The surgery did not relieve the brain pressure and swelling. A few hours later, after the EVD, a second surgery had to be done, this procedure is called a hemicraniectomy. Through this surgery, half her skullcap was removed to relieve brain swelling.
Already two surgeries and it was just to keep her alive. This is Ana's hardest battle to stay alive for our babygirl, who is already over a week old and does not know the comfort and love of her mother. Ana has been under a medical coma since suffering the stroke and all she ever wanted was to be a mother and take our baby home. Half her dream came true, now all we want is to make the second half of her dream a reality. We hoped we would be home as a family by now.
My daughter is already a week old and my wife is still in critical condition. I know she’s going to come out of this, she’s strong and she wants to see her daughter grow up, it was her dream. The last thing she said to me was “I’m not going to leave you alone, I’m going to help you raise our daughter” God will make sure of that.
My wife may not be able to be the same person she was before, but I know that the love for our babygirl will keep her strong and fighting for her life. She will be the best mother she can be.
We need your help, the medical bills are going to be expensive and the recovery is a long road ahead. Every little bit helps, my family and I we thank you for your support.
I am asking that you please keep her in your prayers. Thank You!
