**10/30/20 Update: As you may know, we were surprised to receive a cancer diagnosis for mom. She has been so strong and endured several procedures. We finally got the staging of her cancer and are saddened to hear that it is Stage 4. Although the prognosis isn't great, we put all of our hope and trust in God. Our desire is to move mom to California to be near family and to undergo alternative treatments which unfortunately are not covered by health insurance, which is why we have raised the goal to $25,000. We appreciate everyone who has been praying for her and also those of you who have contributed to her fund. She is ready to fight but we will need all the help and support we can get. Ana, lovingly known as "Nana" by her grandchildren and children, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer on September 25, during surgery to remove her thyroid. The diagnosis came as a surprise of course and as you can imagine, so have the costly copays, coinsurance and many miles of travel to and from office visits and hospital visits. Ana is a 15 year widow on limited social security benefits and as a family we are doing all we can while also caring for our immediate needs. Our goal of $5000 will not only help cover these medical expenses but it will free up her money for groceries, phone bills and rent. Any little bit helps so please do not feel bad if you can contribute with $5 and not $500. It doesnt matter the amount. It all adds up and it all helps.
