Benny, a heartbroken college student, is stuck in a toxic cycle of living in the past through a virtual reality headset that allows you to relive your memories. As he struggles to move on, Benny's journey takes a surreal turn when the virtual world blurs with reality, leading him to confront his fears and to find hope for the future.

Why are we fundraising

We are a student production from Emerson College collaborating with student filmmakers and actors to bring Ana Curi’s vision to life. Crowdfunding helps us to be able to provide food for our cast and crew, it helps us with transportation of equipment and to build sets to fit the story we are all creating. Dear Supporters,

Hi! I’m Ana Curi, writer and director of MemoriaTech, my senior thesis. This is undoubtedly my most important project up to date, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’ll be the culmination of everything I’ve learned the past 4 years, and many hours of work and collaboration with my bestest friends.

In a world where technology can store our favorite memories, who wouldn’t want to relive them forever? My film dives deep into the human experience of love, loss, and the overwhelming desire to hold onto cherished memories. Through Benny’s journey, we confront the universal struggle of moving forward and the fear of letting go.

About Ana Curi

Ana was born and raised in Mexico City, and then immigrated to Miami in her teen years. She will graduate from Emerson with a major in Media Arts Production and a minor in Psychology. She has experiences directing and editing short films, commercials, and music videos. She also enjoys working as 1st Assistant Director and Script Supervisor. She loved working on an international film (Casi el Paraiso) as a 2nd Unit Assistant.
