Hi guys!
As most of you know, JillyBean was diagnosed with inflammatory brain disease in September of 2018 shortly after we said goodbye to Meleki. Since then JBean and I moved out to my moms property in Methow Valley and she has really come into herself- running and playing everyday on multiple acres by the river with my mom's dog Sona and just having so much fun doing dog stuff-- it has been so amazing to watch her thrive.
Sadly, last week I noticed a change in her face, and it looked like she had possibly had a stroke. I took my best friend in to go see the vet and they told me that she was experiencing paralysis and muscle atrophy on the right side of her face. So in essence she has lost the ability to move the right side of her face and her head and eye are slightly sunken in.
Her neurologist in the bay thinks, and the vet here agrees, that this is likely the work of a nerve sheath tumor. They have advised me to go to WSU to get her in for an MRI as soon as I can.
I just spoke with WSU and they require payment up front and do not currently offer any payment plans. The procedure is 2500-3000 dollars. Which is money I do not have. I have applied for a care credit card and have been approved for 500 dollars. Its not much but it's a start. I have picked up as many shifts as I can and just worked a 7 day stretch so I am saving as much money as I can every paycheck I get but Im worried that things will worsen in the time it takes me to get to that 3000 dollar goal.
If anyone can help I would be forever grateful. Asking for help has never been something I am good at, but I need it more then ever now.
Jilly is my whole world and I will go the distance to make sure she gets the best care and is living her best, pain free life.
