Ashley Jobmann Injured RN Needs Your Help

ASHLEY NEEDS YOUR HELP! Please read her story.

Hi, my name is Laura Jobmann and I'm trying to raise money for my daughter Ashley to help her pay exorbitant medical bills and other expenses. Recently Ashley, who is an RN, found out that a brain injury she received from a kick in
the head and neck by a patient will not heal. Since we just found this out in July, 2021, the statute of limitations has already passed and we cannot seek recourse. She also did not seek workmen’s compensation because her headache specialist would not take the case if she did.

My loving, caring and compassionate daughter needs your help.  She served as an EMT prior to pursuing a career in nursing. She has a Bachelor's degree as a Registered Nurse  and has worked her hardest to be able to care for others as a NURSE IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM!

• Ashley was tragically kicked in the head and neck by a patient who knocked her to the ground. This injury ultimately caused her to be unable to work any longer. Here’s her story.

• She was diagnosed with a concussion; hospitalized for severe migraines, continuous vomiting and vertigo.

• Ashley was in and out of the hospital  frequently and finally saw a neurologist who specializes in migraines and head trauma.

• She was diagnosed with post concussion syndrome that caused chronic migraines.

• Cervical dystonia causing her head and neck to tilt to the right.

• Left muscle weakness, nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, blurry vision.

• Balance instability and c-spine disc herniations.

To help with the migraines Ashley continuously underwent  IV infusion therapies, multiple hospital stays, pain management procedures, multiple ER visits to break the migraines by using her infusion therapy protocol. Due to the strength of the medications administered during IV infusion therapy, her veins collapsed and it was required that a port be inserted in her chest area to administer medications.  Also, the severity of her injury forced Ashley to move back home so she had round the clock care.

Unfortunately, Ashley developed a blood clot in her right subclavian vein which is near her heart.  After the blood clot was dissolved her neurologist couldn't get the migraines under control. Although she had to undergo multiple inpatient and outpatient treatments at the hospital, the specialist told her in July, 2019 that she had to leave her job so that her “brain could rest”, and as of 2020, they said she could not work due to the “Traumatic Brain” injury she sustained. The specialist also told her it was highly doubtful her brain would ever heal. Over the past few months, Ashley was told by not only her neurologist, but her neurosurgeon she can no longer  work.

Since the kick in the head, Ashley’s neck hurt her severely and in 8 months Ashley underwent 3 spine surgeries, one of which was an emergency surgery. By hitting her head and the screws breaking apart and puncturing the vertebrae, she was considered lucky she wasn’t paralyzed. Her last surgery was on June 1st this year.

My husband and I have helped as much as we can, however, between the cost of the insurance policy as well as the out of pocket medical not covered by insurance, we can’t keep up with the bills.

Anyone who knows Ashley knows she loved being a nurse and caring for her patients.  She has touched so many lives, whether it was the patient or the loved ones of the patient. She always believed in paying it forward, and I'm asking you all to please contribute too and help Ashley in whatever way you can.

We don’t take asking for help lightly, usually we are the ones offering our help to others. So please realize I feel awkward asking for help. If all you can do is share Ashley’s story, we couldn’t be happier. Please share Ashley’s story through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Text message or other means. Let’s get the word out as wide as we can. This is a good cause and a worthy one.

It's so hard to see a beautiful and vibrant spirit suffer like Ashley. If pictures  speak a thousand words, look at the top picture and then look at the pictures as she’s going through treatments at the bottom. So let’s all pull together for her.

LET'S COME TOGETHER AND SUPPORT THIS WONDERFUL AND CARING NURSE WHO PUTS EVERYONE ABOVE HERSELF!

Thank you so much.
