Hi, my name is Cathleen (Cathy), and I have an injury that has caused me to lose the use of my dominant hand. You see, my kitty and I were playing, and he bit me. This caused 2 issues- 1 a very nasty infection and 2- he not caked a tendon which then ruptured. This happened back in September. A spine/scoliosis orthopedic happened to be the surgeon on duty ( the hand specialist was away). So, he reluctantly operated on my hand. I was supposed to be out of work for 6-8 weeks. However, because I do not have insurance, I was not able to start therapy. My -dominant- hand remains in a brace, is still swollen, and my fingers do not move. The hand specialist will not look at my hand due to my outstanding bill. (Unless I put down a large deposit). I have no savings, and am close to $75,000. in debt with the hospital; have no way of paying any of my living expenses (rent; electricity- which is due to be shut off soon-; car insurance; gas; groceries; etc.). I do not have anyone who can truly help me with all of this. I remain unemployed, and cannot get any help. My cat remains with me, as he is my best friend and I know he did not mean to hurt me. If anyone out there can help, we would so very much appreciate it. God BlessMs.Cathy & Tavi
