I am reaching out to you today with a heart heavy with concern but filled with hope. Our families and communities in Western Jamaica have been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. Parishes like St. Elizabeth, including the districts of West Moreland and the specific areas of Waterworks and Black River, have been hit exceptionally hard.

The images you may have seen cannot fully capture the reality: homes destroyed, farms flooded, livelihoods washed away, and entire communities left without basic necessities. The road to recovery is long, and for many, the path is unclear.

That is why I am personally appealing to you from the Tri-state. We know the spirit of New York and New Jersey—a spirit of resilience, of direct action, and of stepping up when others are in need.

Our mission is to raise funds for those in Jamaica who have lost everything. With the help of donations, we plan to send barrels to Jamaica with supplies as the first steps toward rebuilding. Please support our effort to provide relief to the people of Jamaica and aid the rebuilding efforts in affected communities.
