We’re reaching out during an incredibly stressful and emotional time for our family.

Just six months ago, we moved from the US to Thailand, intending to settle long-term. We left with hopes of creating stability and safety for our family, and fully expected to build a future in our new home. Unfortunately, due to growing tensions in the region and recent changes to visa protocols outside our control, we’re now having to return home far sooner than we ever imagined.

The decision to return has come with a wave of unexpected, financial, emotional, and logistical challenges. One of the biggest is ensuring our beloved pet, Nova, can come back with us.

Nova has been by our side through every step of this journey. For our child and for us, Nova has been a source of consistency and emotional support through major upheaval. They are truly part of our family, and we can't imagine leaving them behind.

However, the cost to bring them back home is significantly higher than we anticipated. In addition to the cost of international pet cargo, we’ve learned that:

- There are no direct flights for pets into our home city, due to regulations.

- Nova must fly into a different region/state, and we’ll then need to drive over 10 hours to bring them to our home state.

- We also need to cover vet checks, government paperwork, crate fees, customs, and more.

We’re hoping to raise $4,000 to help cover:

- International pet flight: $3,033

- Vet certifications, vaccinations, and documents: $500

- Airline-approved crate & travel gear: $1400

- Customs and arrival processing fees: $500

- Ground transport (10+ hour drive): $1000

This is an incredibly difficult time, and we’re doing our best to manage everything on our own. But we truly need help to make this happen.
