Hi everyone,
We're reaching out to you for help to save the life of a wonderful person named Kirinde, who has dedicated his life to helping 30 homeless children in Uganda. These children, ranging from 2 to 12 years old, live in a shelter that Kirinde founded and maintains with his own resources.
An Unexpected Diagnosis: A Fight for Life
Recently, Kirinde began experiencing severe headaches, nausea, and dizziness. He went to the doctor, and an examination revealed a subdural hematoma—a buildup of blood between his skull and brain. This is a consequence of an old injury he sustained in a motorcycle accident while bringing food to the children. He didn't think it was serious at the time, but now the hematoma poses a direct threat to his life.
Doctors have warned that without urgent neurosurgery, the hematoma could lead to severe brain damage and even death. The surgery requires $4,500.
What Will Happen to the Children Without Kirinde?
Kirinde is the sole hope for these children. He provides them with food, a roof over their heads, education, and medical care. Without him, they could be left on the streets, defenseless and hungry.
Among the children he cares for:
12 have only their father;
5 have only their mother;
6 are complete orphans;
7 are from extremely poor families who cannot care for them.
