Calling to Megan Russell's community to show love & support

Our dear friend Megan Russell is facing an incredibly difficult chapter: she’s been diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer, which has spread to her liver, lungs, and spine.

This news has shaken all of us — but if there’s anyone who can face something this tough with grit and grace, it’s Megan. She’s always met life with a rare combination of strength, resilience, and humor — and that spirit is still shining through, even now.

If you’ve spent time at Bar Miriam, you’ve likely felt Megan’s presence, whether you knew it or not. As the bar manager, she helped shape it into more than just a place to grab a drink — she helped build a true community. Her warmth, sharp wit, deep knowledge, and adventurous heart make her one of a kind. She’s the person who will offer you her couch when you need it, and be the first to raise a glass when you have something to celebrate.

Megan’s world is rich with love — from her cats to her partner Will and his kids, from late-night dance floors to passionate conversations that last until closing time. And she’s built a wide, beautiful constellation of friends all across the country because of how deeply she supports and shows up for the people she loves.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.

Megan is receiving excellent care here in one of the best cities in the world for cancer treatment, but she won’t be able to work for the foreseeable future. The financial burden of medical bills, daily living expenses, and time away from work is already mounting.
