An insulin pump for Lucci

My name is Emilia Cottrell Cardenas, on April 8th I started noticing that my four year old son Luciano had began to become extremely thirsty throughout the day and night, he was also urinating far more than usual, waking me up on average 5 times a night, I could tell he was losing weight as well, on Monday April 15th my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, my heart is aching for him because this whole process is absolutely life changing, something as simple as giving him a snack requires a shot of insulin. On average he gets 8-10 shots a day, as any parent can imagine, this is so hard to do, I am asking for help to get my son an insulin pump that will eliminate giving him his insulin with a syringe and save him having to get a shot for every meal and snack he eats. This is an enormous transition and having to answer his question of why he isn’t going to get better is gut wrenching, my family and I truly appreaciate the support.
