An Insulin Pump & Support Devices For Keira Lee!

WE ARE SO VERY CLOSE! I am a Mother… more specifically, the proud Mommy to Keira Lee, a vibrant, intelligent, kind, and beautiful young lady that has been burdened with Type 1 Diabetes since 1 year of age! She was literally in diapers!

Insurance provided Keira with an insulin pump that is not working properly for her little body. They refuse to replace it with the pump that will literally save her from further organ damage simply because her pump now, a pump that fails to make much needed blood sugar level corrections, still has 2 years left under warranty. Keira’s little body will be far too damaged in that time! I am currently poking her little tiny fingers up to 10 times a day in order to avoid this.

The Tandem T-Slim Pump will make the positive and negative corrections necessary to keep her blood sugar levels stable and her organs from terrible damage.

I have sat days with that little girl in the hospital being poked and prodded more than my heart can bare.

For Keira’s health, I am shoving down pride and reaching out for help, something I do not like to do. I know I have a fantastic community of truly amazing, supportive people.
