Hi, my name is Cruz and I’m raising funds for my brother, Tony Duarte-Bell.

on Tuesday, March 14, Tony woke up not being able to breath. The doctors believe it to be sleep apnea at this time. Not being able to breathe, Tony went outside in panic to try and catch his breathe followed by his wife, Jessica. Tony then passed out dropping to his knees causing his head to lean forward, which lead to his neck and upper spine to absorb the majority of the fall. This lead to his T1 and T3-T6 bones in his vertebrae to fracture. And while thankfully no surgery is needed, his ability to work is unknown at this time due to his physically limitations of his back brace and his body healing.

Tony is a loving husband to his wife Jessica, his children Marci, Lily & Keanu and his step-son Ashton. They also have two awesome dogs in Bella and Dozer. Tony is the sole provider for his family as a Corrections Officer in the Ogemaw County jail. As the provider for his family and a huge uncertainty of income, this has lead to me making this Go Fund Me.

My brother is an amazing father and husband. He lives for his family and the first thoughts after his injury was he has to work to provide for his family. Medicare will not able to cover the full extent of his medical bills and due to clerical errors, his Aflac insurance was not activated so he will not be covered from the time he is out of work.
