My only sibling, my brother passed away from a heart attack. He was only 39. He was fit, healthy, he played hockey, ate right and exercised.

Like many, my brother wanted more for his wife, Sabrina, and future family. He took a chance by uprooting from Indiana to New York State for the hope of better employment.

The day he and his wife closed on their dream home, he passed away 2 hours after signing the documents. They hadn’t even moved their furniture in.

His insurance which would have provided his wife with a payout and a year’s salary wasn’t set to begin until ONE business day later. Unfortunately, she has been left with a mortgage she cannot afford on her own, no medical or life insurance, and the grief and devastation of losing her husband.

2 days after he passed she found out she was pregnant with their first baby. He never even knew or will know. They had wanted a family, it’s truly bittersweet. 

Now she has been left in a state where she knows almost no one, with the loss of his income, pregnant with no way to pay for her appointments, alone and with Matt’s vast medical bills she has no way of paying and no medical or life insurance. 

 

This story is incredible, what timing. Please if you can, help. The money will be used towards her medical bills for the baby, Matt’s medical bills which are over 200,000 dollars and towards a way to stay in the home they purchased together the day he passed away; to allow time to figure out where she wants to live and get settled next.
