Honey In The Heart
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
Kristi Williamson and I (Kathryn Oliver) wish to thank you for choosing to embark on this very special journey with us!
Kristi and I have been collaborating for the past thirteen years. In that time, we have birthed a series of pioneering and uniquely educational works, each of which have inspired and enriched the community of Midcoast Maine with healing and thought-provoking theater experiences. Please visit our website for more information: www.kathrynoliverandkristiwilliamsoncollaborations.com.
With each project in which we weave poetry, prose, art, film, music and dance, we have tried to foster a deeper awareness of life and appreciation for the meaning behind this human journey. The late mythologist Joseph Campbell said: “One problem in the modern world today is that we are not well acquainted with the literature of the spirit but instead are consumed by the news of the day and the problems of the hour.” With such thoughts in mind, we bring you Honey in the Heart in the hopes that it might revive a sense of the truly sacred nature of our lives, providing a bridge back to ourselves, to one another, and the world around us.
But it's no easy task to inspire hope and meaning in the community when so much is at stake and we are having to meet the economic demands of a multimedia project such as Honey in the Heart. Hence we have decided to crowdfund in order to raise at least $5,000 over the next thirty days. With your support, we will be able to pay for our technical equipment, costume, mask and prop materials, advertising, videographer's fees and artist stipends.
We also wish to develop the project to include a touring schedule in the future, equipped with professional, art and movement-based workshops and discussions, followed by Q&As about the power of symbolic storytelling.
Will you help us achieve our goal? We can't do this alone. Please join us in guiding this seed project forward so it can continue to bear fruit and bring much needed hope and healing to our communities.
Thank you so much from our hearts for your generous support of Honey in the Heart.
With Love & Gratitude,
Kathryn and Kristi
