This fundraiser is to buy 117 employment handbooks for delivery to every UK prison.

People in prison need help and support to turn their lives around and to live crime-free lives. It makes absolute sense for them to start this process whilst they are still in prison and have available time.

One of the most important areas is stable employment.

Employment brings numerous benefits to prisoners and society, providing:

Stability, structure and routine.
Dramatic reductions in problematic drug use.
Improvement to self-esteem and a sense of purpose.
Demonstrable reductions in reoffending and the creation of victims.
Legitimate and regular income which allows people to budget and plan.
Crime free support network and a feeling of acceptance and belonging.
For employers, a sizeable workforce of hardworking and appreciative people.

The book contains a complete system built whilst helping 512 serving prisoners to progress into work. It contains 360 pages, is A4 size and packed with exercises, templates, techniques, employer lists etc, literally everything a work-seeker needs to gain employment.

All contributions will be used to buy printed copies from Amazon to be delivered directly to the prisons.

If the target is exceeded, all funds will be used to buy further copies from Amazon to be delivered directly to Approved Premises and Probation Offices.
