My name is Mary, I am a elderly widow with a fixed income whose husband passed away in 2015. I need your help to keep my home for me and my beloved dog. I have lived in this home since 1987, the mortgage was paid off to Bank One in 2003, and I diligently pay my property taxes twice a year.
According to Mr. Braun, he had made a personal loan to my late husband's corporation in 1991 for $57,500 that he has been filing the judgement lien for every 5 years against my late husband; however, I have never been made aware of this until June of 2024 through a notification from the common pleas court. The amount that he is asking of me is $337,500 with a 15% compound daily interest rate. Through his attorney, he offered me $10,000 to sign over the deed to my home, but I have lived here for more than 3 decades and my dog and I have nowhere else to go. I had made offers to him through our attorneys to settle for $100,000 that he did not accept. I have taken all legal avenues, contacted my city council, representatives, and Governor DeWine of Ohio all to no avail. I have also reached out to multiple news outlets, and channel 12 had agreed to do an exclusive but has since backed out. I am now facing the foreclosure of my home and potential homelessness as an elderly widow.
This has been a devastating year for me and I have sold off many of my personal belongings and have been forced into bankruptcy to pay legal fees, not to mention my ruined credit score. I don't have anything left to maintain my home, and my dignity, This is beyond a hardship for me. I have no other options but to turn to social media and I would deeply appreciate any and all help you can offer. Thank you so much for listening to my story and I hope you can find it in your heart to help me through a donation or to share this with anyone you think will be able to help.
