An Earper and her family in need of assistance

Hi folks.

I’m putting a big “ask” out to our Earper community to help support a fellow Earper that could use a hand. Anne Hicks-Bleecker is a full time mom and a teacher and all around wonderful person. Many of us know her from Earp related podcasts and up on the stage moderating panels at Earp cons.

Here is the situation…

Getting treatment for children dealing with mental health challenges is an incredibly daunting process. There is a lack of available treatment options and it is EXPENSIVE. So when an opportunity for treatment pops up, you will do anything and everything you can to get your kiddo the help they need. This is the situation that Anne is in. She has a kiddo that has needed support but due to financial strains and long waiting lists, it hasn’t happened. Suddenly, yesterday, an opportunity pops up for the kiddo to attend desperately needed in patient therapy. After running all of the insurance, there is still a balance of 4 thousand dollars that will need to be paid out of pocket before the kiddo can start treatment.

I am hoping we can band together to help Anne and her kiddo. If you are able to donate financially that would be amazing.
