An Aspie Dream To Be A Professor
Donation protected
Hello I'm an Aspie named Conrad. I was diagnosed with Aspergers very late in life. This diagnosis helped reframe my life and led me to study at Savannah College of Art and Design where I am finishing my BFA in Performing Arts. I have a passion in bringing joy to others through comedy, with a specialty in improvisational theatre and sketch comedy and want to teach others to be able to do the same. I am also a voice actor with an absolute love of manipulating both my voice and dialects to create a plethora of characters.
The purpose of this fundraising is to help with the cost for me to attend graduate school. I have been accepted to the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London in their MFA Voice Studies program. With this degree, I want to give back to the Neurodiverse Community by coaching and teaching others to better succeed as actors and communicators. I will be specializing in dialect coaching and also hope to use this specialty to further strengthen my abilities as a voice actor and improvisor. My dream is to be able to teach both voice and improv theatre as a professor at a university to bridge the gap between current teaching methods and methods that help individuals like me. To do that, I need to be able to get there and study.
Your contribution will go towards helping me get my Masters Degree so I can give back to the community and be a contributing member of society.
The total cost of my first year of attendance is $65k. This cost includes living expenses, tuition, and supplies for school. This is a two year program.
