Wir sind Bas und Kira, ein studentisches Filmteam – und mitten in unserem Abschlussprojekt im Studiengang Media: Conception & Production der Hochschule RheinMain.

Dafür porträtieren wir einen Künstler, der nicht nur sein Leben dem Tanzen gewidmet hat, sondern vor allem mit seiner Kunst Räume schafft: für Austausch, Kreativität, Gemeinschaft.

Flockey Ocscor ist Künstler, Tänzer und Musiker. Sein Weg beginnt in seiner Kindheit. Seine Geschichte erzählt er selbst – in einem Interview, das wir mit filmischen Bildern zum Leben erwecken: in Rückblicken auf seine Vergangenheit.

Dazu inszenieren wir persönliche Ereignisse aus seinem Leben nach: seine ersten Berührungspunkte mit Musik und Tanz in einer kongolesischen Gemeinde, die Einflüsse durch seine Eltern, das erste Dance Battle im Jugendzentrum, die Frage nach Identität, beim kreativen Austausch mit anderen Kunstschaffenden. Die Grenzen zwischen Doku und Inszenierung verschwimmen.

Das Ganze ist eine Herzenssache – aber eben auch eine Produktionssache. Da wir keine Fördergelder erhalten, sind wir auf jede Unterstützung angewiesen, um unser Filmprojekt umzusetzen.

We’re Bas and Kira, a student film team currently working on our graduation project in the Media: Conception & Production program at Hochschule RheinMain.

Our film is a portrait of an artist who has dedicated his life to dance – but more than that, someone who creates spaces through his art: for connection, creativity, and community.

Flockey Ocscor is an artist, dancer, and musician. His journey began in childhood. He tells his story in his own words – through an interview that we bring to life with cinematic visuals and reflective reenactments of his past.

We recreate key moments from his life: his first encounters with music and dance in a Congolese church community, the influence of his parents, his first dance battle at a youth center, his search for identity, and the creative exchange with fellow artists. The line between documentary and fiction intentionally blurs.

This project is a labor of love – but also a production challenge. Since we’re not receiving any external funding, we rely entirely on your support to bring this film to life.
