Dear Friends - Callum here, Alexander's cousin. I’ve taken over Auntie Nic's (Pixie's) Go Fund Me page to continue the support, with the goal of funding a specialist aquatic prosthetic leg. This will allow Alexander to get back into the water with confidence, independence, and freedom. something most of us take for granted.
On 25th April I’m taking on the Total Coastal 50K to help raise money for something that will make a real difference to my cousin’s life. This race is also a key build-up event for my biggest challenge yet on 20th/21st June - the Jurassic Extinction Ultra - a 104 mile ultramarathon along the Jurassic Coast. So every mile this weekend is part of something even bigger.
The Total Coastal 50K is a tough challenge, but it’s nothing compared to the daily challenges faced without the right support and equipment. Every step I take is for a purpose.
If you can donate, share, or support in any way, it genuinely means a lot. Thank you to everyone who’s already backed this, let’s keep it going.
Alexander has spent the past year fighting something no teenager should ever have to face: Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer. He has endured treatment after treatment with a level of courage that has amazed everyone around him. Three months ago, he faced his biggest challenge yet - the amputation of his leg to save his life.
THANK YOU to everyone for your kindness and support - We have already made our initial hoped target of £8000 towards a special prosthesis which could cost between £10,000 and £20,000. Alexander would also like to donate some funds to the Ewing Sarcoma Trust as they have been a huge support to him throughout. https://www.ewings-sarcoma.org.uk/
