An Angel who came to live among us

Akua Boatemaa Bosompen ,a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart.Akua lost her battle with Covid on the 23rd of October 2020. She spent 43 years of her life caring for others,serving her church and leading the "Gorgeous Empowering Mature Sister-GEMS". If you knew her,you know she had a larger than life heart and love for everyone. Resilient is the true definition of her life.She went through so many downs that would have broken the average person. She lost her positions at both Bank of America and British Airways.She hit rock bottom but never gave up.She spent the last two years working hard every minute of everyday to become a nurse. She said " this is my calling, I love people and I want to be there for them".Even as the death toll of covid rose and nurses were leaving their jobs because of fear, she was determined to make it as a nurse.As a nurse her big heart led her to care for the most vulnerable, the covid patients.She was committed to comforting and caring for them leading to her untimely death when she contracted Covid19.Akua leaves behind a 9 year old daughter who misses her mother everyday. Nothing can ever fill that void but we are hoping to raise funds to help cover funeral cost and start a college fund for her child. The college fund will be created by her grandmother Elizabeth Kwarteng.Please consider supporting the family of this fallen SHERO who lost her life fighting at the frontlines.
