Support the Maio Family

To family, friends , and neighbors, near and far I am writing this with a heavy heart.

Most of you know, Michelle and her family!

Michelle and John have 2 young girls and live in New Egypt.

While John goes to work full time , Michelle takes care of the girls and there every day needs. Including but not limited to: school, sports, after school activities, Addison’s weekly therapies, etc.

On top of all that, she is the primary caregiver of her 97yr old grandmother, and also helped care for her terminally ill mother. All this while trying to find a new home for her self , John and the girls to move into by the beginning of this summer!

(they have to move due to landlord sold the home they currently live in)

Michelle is usually the one helping everyone, and always offering help where she can, even during this emotional and stressful time!

Michelle, her kids, and her family are active members of the New Egypt community. Between Michelle coaching sports, Kallie is involved in Girl Scouts, school functions, after school activities, town sports, to working locally in the town for many many years.

Her father, Anthony is currently on leave from the NE Volunteer fire Department.

Michele’s mom, when her 3 girls were younger, coached pop Warner , taught at learning steps, was a Girl Scout troop leader and babysat many local kids in the New Egypt community, and so much more!!

Before the diagnosis, Michele Maio was a teacher at Kiddie Academy for years, in Allentown NJ, and absolutely loved her job, loved all the kids, and was an amazing teacher. She was truly loved by so many!

I am reaching out for all the help we can for this Family !

Michelle’s mother Michele Maio , her father Anthony Maio and there whole immediate family could really use our Support during this hard time.

The immediate family includes :

• Michelle Maio and her husband Anthony Maio

• Michelle Dansbury (Bordonaro) , her husband John Bordonaro and there two girls Kallie and Addison.

• Christina Maio

• Kaitlyn Maio and her boyfriend Ben Shutman.

As most know, Michele Maio fought hard the past Year to beat pancreatic cancer.

Unfortunately, the past few weeks have been very difficult on her, and they recently found out that the cancer is back, and there is nothing more that can be done for her . Michele Maio passed away November 5th, surrounded by all love from all her family and friends.

While in and out of work for majority of the family, as Michele needed someone with her 24/7, family members were taking turns being with her while she was home . Anthony maio took FMLA, and if anyone knows how that works, you know the income is very limited and you never know when you will receive it. The medical bills over the past year plus have been piling up, gas back and forth from Hospital, wear and tear on cars, Anthony’s main car is now broken down, meals for all the family members, babysitter fees for Michelle’s girls, daily/monthly bills, and all that comes with caring for a terminally ill family member. Michelle and John will need to fix things in the Maio’s house. The family, unfortunately, will also need help with funeral arrangements on top of everything else .
