An Alternative 4th
Donation protected
Here's an important cause to donate to that's straight-up about truth-telling and tough FUN!
Last year you helped me get a small portable sound system for the event. This year I'm asking for your help
in getting a small pair of stage monitors. No donation is too small. You can also help by spreading the word.
Last year I wrote, "Boss Tweet recently said that Frederick Douglass is doing good work. Help me transform Tweet's words into truth and tough fun!
Help me pay the musicians, poets and readers who will be performing and reading. Help me hire a videographer and photographer to document this important alternative 4th of July event. And since the venue has no sound system, help me purchase a small portable one..."
We succeed in doing most of those things last year. And this year we're much further along, having garnered unexpected financial support in the form of a generous grant. However, we still need about $800 to purchase the monitors in order to present the best performance we possibly can! Won't you donate today? Thank you.
